VetJobPortal is built on trust. We collect only what we need to connect you with the right opportunities — and we treat your information with the same respect you deserve as someone who served.

What we collect

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and location. If you are a veteran, we also collect your service details and verification documents (discharge certificate and government ID). These are used solely to verify your military background and build your candidate profile.

How we verify your service

As part of our commitment to genuine veteran placement, we may contact the Nigerian military headquarters or relevant service branch to confirm service records. This is done confidentially and only to protect the integrity of our platform for veterans and employers alike.

Who sees your information

Employers on our platform can see your profile — but never your personal contact details. Your phone number and email are protected. We only share them with an employer when you have been matched and both parties have agreed to proceed. Your verification documents are never shared with employers.

Emails we send you

We will send you account-related emails (verification, profile updates, job matches) using Brevo, our email service. We do not send spam. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by contacting us.

Your control

You can request to view, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing support@vetjobportal.com. If you close your account, your data is removed within 30 days.

Updates to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will let you know by email. Your continued use of VetJobPortal means you are happy with the updated terms.
